Our area and biodiversity.
The Ōhiwa Headland - Located west of Ōpōtiki, the Ōhiwa Headland is uniquely positioned between estuaries, coastline and freshwater catchments.
Its geography makes it a rare example of a defendable site for large-scale pest management.
This natural boundary allows restoration work to be carried out effectively, with a focus on reducing reinvasion and maintaining long-term gains.
